Fisk and Crawford Reuse Task Force Final Report

In late August 2012, Chicago’s last remaining coal-fired power plants closed. The sites they occupy have the potential to become job-rich, productive and environmentally sustainable assets for their communities, and the city.

Delta Institute was appointed by Mayor Emanuel to facilitate a Task Force that considered how this potential could be realized, and to consult with the community on the issue. After several months of collaboration between diverse interests, the Task Force produced a report to the Mayor that includes guidelines and recommendations for reusing the sites.
