Weatherization Program Marks Third Year with 500th Unit Weatherized

CHICAGO - Delta is pleased to announce that in just three years, our Weatherization Program has completed over 500 units, making it one of Chicago’s leading home energy efficiency program.  Since launching in 2009, a total of 545 units have been weatherized, over 900 units have received EnergyStar Appliances, and the program has nearly doubled in size each year.

US EPA Awards Delta Institute $200,000 Great Lakes Restoration Initiative Grant

CHICAGO – Delta Institute has been awarded a grant of $200,000 from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency in recognition of the success of its Lake Michigan Forum and Lake Michigan Watershed Academy.  Announced today by Susan Hedman, U.S. EPA Great Lakes National Program Manager, this grant will enable Delta Institute to continue its 10 years of work with a broad range of stakeholders in the Lake Michigan basin to implement a Lakewide Management Plan.
