What is an Investment Grade Audit?
An Investment Grade Audit (IGA) is one of the best tools to identify energy savings opportunities as well as understand the costs and payback periods associated with implementation. The IGAs offered through this program will:
 • Provide clear energy saving predictions in order to reduce the level of uncertainty about implementation and maintenance of energy efficiency strategies;
 • Establish a well-defined energy cost baseline;
 • Establish a dialogue with the facility on energy efficiency opportunities; and
 • Identify implementation funding options.

Why have an energy audit?
Commercial and industrial facilities consume approximately 56% of the total energy used in Illinois. The U.S. Department of Energy calculates that, on average, 30% of energy used by facilities is either used inefficiently or wasted. Effectively identifying and implementing energy efficiency strategies translates into tangible operational and maintenance cost savings for the building or facility. Those cost savings will directly improve your bottom line.
