The 272,000 square foot building is aspiring to LEED Core and Shell Platinum Certification and will offer a convenient one-stop shopping option to the public, where they can engage directly with the country’s leading green businesses, eco-speakers, events and ideas. Green Exchange is committed to giving green businesses and innovators what they need to flourish.
The Green Exchange shared office space will feature private and group offices, semi-private desks, meeting areas and flex spaces. This shared space will include Delta’s Green Business Development Center, a small business resource hub whose mission coincides with the shared mission of the Green Exchange and the Delta Institute—to move the green marketplace into the mainstream and transform the Midwest into a vital center of the emerging green economy.
Through the Green Business Development Center, Delta will provide experience, guidance, and leadership, while the individuals sharing the space will be able to share new ideas and best practices. The shared office space helps fledgling companies reduce their overhead with flexible terms while gaining access to turnkey operations and a variety of services specially designed for individuals and small companies.
As part of this spirit of collaboration, the space will also host seminars, small business series, networking events and brainstorm sessions offering structured times for education and networking.
